Pledge Harbor International School IB Middle Years Programme

FOSTERING A CHALLENGING AND SUPPORTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT TO INSPIRE INDEPENDENT THINKERS, LIFELONG LEARNERS, AND RESPONSIBLE GLOBAL CITIZENS.

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) at Pledge Harbor International School is a dynamic and holistic five-year programme designed for students aged 11-16. Our MYP students (Grades 6-10) engage in a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that fosters meaningful connections between academic learning and real-world applications. The programme challenges students to think critically, develop intercultural understanding, and cultivate responsible global citizenship.

The IB MYP framework integrates classroom learning with the broader world through Global Contexts and the IB Learner Profile. Subject disciplines are interconnected, equipping students with transferable knowledge, skills, and conceptual understanding that foster independent inquiry and deeper engagement with learning.

The MYP is designed to be academically challenging while also emphasizing skills development that prepares students for the IB Diploma Programme and higher education. Students are encouraged to think beyond traditional boundaries, apply their knowledge across different disciplines, and develop creative problem-solving abilities.
