November 20, 2024
On the 20th of November, 2024, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at PHIS took great delight in celebrating World Children’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring the rights and well-being of children around the globe. This year, the celebration was particularly vibrant, marked by a delightful no-uniform day that allowed students to express their individuality and creativity through their attire.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as students arrived, adorned in a splendid array of outfits that showcased their unique styles. To further enhance the spirit of the occasion, the school organized a series of thoughtful gestures aimed at making each child feel cherished and valued. Specially crafted cards, adorned with heartfelt messages, were distributed to each student, serving as a reminder of their importance within the school community.
In addition to the cards, beautiful flowers were presented, symbolizing the blossoming potential of every child. To sweeten the day, delightful chocolate goodie bags were gifted, ensuring that the celebration was not only heartfelt but also indulgent.
The festivities culminated in a specially prepared lunch, thoughtfully curated by the school’s culinary team. This meal was designed to nourish and delight, providing an opportunity for students to gather, share laughter, and foster friendships over a delicious spread.
World Children’s Day at PHIS PYP was not merely an event; it was a heartfelt celebration of childhood, community, and the bright future that lies ahead for each of our students. As we reflect on this joyous occasion, we are reminded of our commitment to nurturing the rights and aspirations of children, ensuring that they are heard, valued, and celebrated every day.
